This is an image depicting the Student Conduct Code process, as explained in the Student Conduct Code and Student Honor Code. In summary, once an incident is reported to Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (SCCR), the director of SCCR or a designee will review the incident report. Next a charge letter will be issued out and an information meeting will be scheduled. The incident may need possible investigation before a charge letter is sent out. From the informational meeting, a decision will be made whether to follow an informal or formal conduct code process. In the informal process, there is an administrative review of the case, a decision is made regarding the case and an outcome letter is sent to the student. Decisions can be appealed. In the formal process, a Student Conduct Committee, a University Officials Board or the individual hearing office will hear the case. If the Student Conduct Committee hears the case, witnesses will be contacted. The hearing has 3 to 5 members (including students, staff and faculty). After the hearing, a recommendation will be sent to the Dean of Students or designee for a decision. An outcome letter will be sent to the student. The student can then fulfill the sanctions or appeal the decision. If the University Officials Board hears the case, witnesses will be contacted. The hearing has 3 staff and faculty members. After the hearing, a recommendation will be sent to the Dean of Students or designee for a decision. An outcome letter will be sent to the student. The student can then fulfill the sanctions or appeal the decision. Finally, if an individual hearing office hears the case, witnesses will be contacted. The hearing is with an individual hearing officer. An outcome letter will be sent to the student. The student can then fulfill the sanctions or appeal the decision. This is an image depicting the Student Conduct Code process, as explained in the Student Conduct Code and Student Honor Code.
