Honor Code Process

This is an image depicting the Student Honor Code process, as explained in the Student Conduct Code and Student Honor Code. In summary, once an incident is reported to Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (SCCR), a charge letter will be issued out and an information meeting will be scheduled. If this is the student’s first violation, the student can either accept or deny responsibility. If the student accepts responsibility and the sanctions proposed by faculty, an outcome letter is sent to the student. The student can then fulfill the sanctions or appeal the decision. If the student selects “not responsible” to the charges or “do not agree” to the sanctions proposed, a Student Conduct Committee hearing will be scheduled. After the hearing, a recommendation will be sent to the Dean of Students or designee for a decision. An outcome letter will be sent to the student. The student can then fulfill the sanctions or appeal the decision. If this is the student’s second violation, a Student Conduct Committee hearing will be scheduled. After the hearing, a recommendation will be sent to the Dean of Students or designee for a decision. An outcome letter will be sent to the student. The student can then fulfill the sanctions or appeal the decision.
